Nominations for Candidates for District 6 East Dartmouth The Lakes

(Thursday, August 6, 2009) - Halifax Regional Municipality would like to advise residents of District 6 - East Dartmouth-The Lakes, that it will be accepting nominations for Councillor for the Special Election to be held on Saturday, September 19, 2009.

Nomination packages can be picked up from the Returning Officer, 81 Ilsley Ave., Unit 9, Dartmouth, between the hours of 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday until Nomination Day and are also available for download at http://www.halifax.ca/election

Nominations will be received by the Returning Officer, 81 Ilsley Avenue, Unit 9, Dartmouth, on Tuesday, August 18, 2009, from 9 AM until 5 PM.

Nominations will also be received by appointment only during the week immediately preceding Nomination Day (Tuesday, August 11 through Monday, August 17) between the hours of 8:30 AM and 4:30 PM.
