PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT

Southend Halifax Road Construction

(Friday, August 7, 2009) - Attention motorists, on or about Monday, August 10th, South Park St. from Fenwick St. (including the intersection) to South St. will be closed to through traffic. The closures will be in effect 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

South Park St. will be closed at Victoria Rd., heading north, to local traffic only. There will be no vehicle access to Fenwick St. from South Park St. Traffic entering South Park St. from South St. (heading west) will be required to turn right (North).

The duration of construction is approximately 4 weeks.

The hours of construction will be Monday to Friday 7:00am to 6:00pm, with weekends as required.
There will be no on street parking in the work zone. Sidewalks on both sides of the work zone will remain open.

Please note, all shops and services adjacent to the work zone will remain open during the construction period.

Municipal service disruptions, if required, will be kept to a minimum duration and affected residents and businesses will be notified in advance.
Experienced traffic control personnel will be on-site to ensure smooth traffic flow. On site personnel will also maintain communication with local residents and businesses to help minimize disruption.
