PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT

Southend Halifax Road Construction

 

(Friday, August 14, 2009) - Attention motorists, South Park St. from Fenwick St. (including the intersection) to South St. is closed to through traffic. The closures are in effect 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

South Park St. is closed at Victoria Rd., heading north, to local traffic only. There is no vehicle access to Fenwick St. from South Park St. Traffic entering South Park St. from South St. (heading west) is required to turn right (North).

The duration of construction is approximately 3 weeks.

The hours of construction are Monday to Friday 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM with weekends as required. There is no on street parking in the work zone. Sidewalks on both sides of the work zone will remain open.

Please note, all shops and services adjacent to the work zone will remain open during the construction period.

Municipal service disruptions, if required, will be kept to a minimum duration and affected residents and businesses will be notified in advance. Experienced traffic control personnel will be on-site to ensure smooth traffic flow. On site personnel will also maintain communication with local residents and businesses to help minimize disruption.
