Natural Gas Pipeline Installation on Gottingen Street near North Street

(Monday, October 5/09) -- Motorists are advised that Heritage Gas, in conjunction with its contractor Sackville Trenching Ltd., will continue the installation of a natural gas pipeline on Gottingen Street and near the intersection of North Street. This pipeline will provide service to the customers along Gottingen Street and North End Halifax.

To minimize traffic disruption while working near the Gottingen Street and North Street intersection, the contractor will use a directional drill for work on Gottingen Street. This construction method may require one lane be closed to vehicular traffic on the north leg of the intersection from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM on Tuesday, October 6th.

If necessary to complete the pipeline installation, the lane may be closed to vehicular traffic again from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM on Wednesday, October 7th.

Motorists should expect delays at this intersection during the construction.
