Natural Gas Pipeline Installation on South Street, Halifax

(Wednesday, June 2/10)-- Motorists are advised that Heritage Gas, in conjunction with its contractor R.B. Sommerville, will be installing a natural gas steel pipeline on South St. between Robie St. and Seymour St. and on Seymour St. to the Dalhousie Heating Plant.

In order to install the pipeline as quickly as possible and minimize traffic disruption, South St. from Robie St. to Seymour St. will be closed to vehicular traffic from June 7 to June 24, 2010.

Access for local traffic and for emergency vehicles will be maintained at all times. Metro Transit will detour to University Ave. during the closure

Where possible, motorists should plan alternate routes for the time of this construction.
