Bedford Days – a time to celebrate and a time to Give – Outhit

(June 25, 2010) District 21 Councillor Tim Outhit is urging the community to make Bedford Days an even bigger success this year by taking time from the celebrations to give back to others through the Bedford Days Blood Donor Clinic.

The clinic will be held between 12 noon and 3 pm and again from 5 pm to 7:30 pm on Wednesday, June 30, 2010 at the Bedford Royal Canadian Legion, 1772 Bedford Highway.

The Councillor reminded residents that the clinic is being held to boost supplies because of the Canada Day holiday. He said that while many residents will have the chance to enjoy both annual celebrations, the need for blood products does not take a holiday.

He noted that Canadian Blood Services is doing its part to help give the clinic a party atmosphere by offering free hot dogs and refreshments to donors, as well as having Bedford musician Richard Wyle perform during the clinic.
