Natural Gas Pipeline Installation on Bedford Highway Fairview Overpass to Flamingo Drive

(Friday, July 2, 2010)-- Motorists are advised that, commencing on July 5, 2010, Heritage Gas, in conjunction with its contractor R.B. Sommerville, will be installing a natural gas steel pipeline on Bedford Highway between Fairview Overpass and Flamingo Drive. This work is the continuation of a pipeline project which will extend a natural gas transmission line from the Halifax Peninsula to the Bedford area.

Two way traffic will be maintained at all times and peak hour traffic restrictions will be in effect at the Bayview Rd. and Flamingo Dr. intersections.

This portion of the project is anticipated to be completed in four to six weeks. Where possible, motorists should plan alternate routes for the time of this construction.
