Call for Artists: Dartmouth Cove Mural Project

(Friday, July 30, 2010) - Halifax Regional Municipality, Waterfront Development Corporation Ltd. and the Downtown Dartmouth Business Commission are seeking submissions from artists to participate in an outdoor gallery mural painting event on August 20 and 21.

The canvas for selected artists will be a property located at 2 Maitland Street, facing the Dartmouth Harbourwalk Trail. Each artist will receive a $400 honorarium.

Artists are invited to submit a design proposal for an 8' x 8' mural with a marine theme. To apply please send the following:
• Artist Statement
• Sketch of your 8' x 8' marine design
• Design description
• 5 images of past painted work
• Full contact information

Deadline for submissions is Thursday, August 5, 2010 at 4 p.m.
