HRM To Announce New Hip Hop Art Festival

(Tuesday, August 10, 2010) - Breakdancers, graffiti artists,rappers, spoken word poets and DJs will join HRM Civic Events to announce an exciting new event this September.

The announcement will happen at 11:00 AM in Halifax Hall, main floor City Hall, and all in attendance will be treated to live performance and information about this fresh new event for HRM.

Showcasing all four elements of hip hop (bboy, Emcee, DJ, Graffiti), Hopscotch will enliven downtown Halifax from September 4-11.

The Main Event will feature a free Concert by Classified in Grand Parade on September 11.  Bring your camera and get more information about Cellograff www.cellograff.com, free workshops, Canada's first National one on one breakdance battle and the DJ Olympics with over $17,000 in prize money for our artists.
