HRM Asks Citizens Not to Hamper Clean Up Efforts

(September 4, 2010) - The municipality is asking citizens to please assist in helping along the post-Earl clean-up efforts by disposing of tree branches and other debris found on private property in the recommended fashion - according to HRM’s Waste Management guidelines. Municipal efforts to clear roadways of trees and branches, and re-open sports fields and parks, are often hampered by the extra work involved in taking care of branches and debris pushed off private property and onto HRM-owned land.
