Kearney Lake Rd.-Parkland Dr. Intersection Open
(Thursday, October 21, 2010) - Attention motorists, traffic flow through the intersection of Kearney Lake Rd. and Parkland Dr. has been restored and traffic lights are back in full operation.
This work was part of the water main sliplining project being undertaken by Dexter Construction on behalf of Halifax Water.
Sliplining project work is continuing along Kearney Lake Rd. just north of Grosvenor Road, to just south of the intersection of Highway#102.
All traffic in the remaining work zones will continue to be re-routed to inbound lanes. There will be no loss of municipal services.
Sidewalk access will be maintained in these work zones.
Experienced traffic control personnel will be on-site to ensure smooth traffic flow. On site personnel will also maintain communication with local residents and businesses to help minimize disruption.
Motorists are asked to use alternate routes where possible and to proceed carefully through the work zone. Motorists are also reminded that speed fines double in work zones. Motorists are asked to use extreme caution and be very diligent when driving through the area as it is a busy school zone.
We apologize for any inconvenience this necessary infrastructure work may cause.
