Remembrance Day Solid Waste Collection Notice

(Tuesday, November 9, 2010) - HRM would like to remind residents that there will be no regular municipal solid waste collection services provided on Remembrance Day, Thursday, November 11, 2010. Curbside collection of garbage, organics or recyclables normally scheduled for Thursday, November 11th will occur the following Saturday, November 13th.

The Otter Lake Waste Processing and Disposal Facilities, the two Composting Facilities and the HRM Recycling Plant will be closed on Remembrance Day, Thursday, November 11th but will be open on Saturday, November 13th with regular operating hours.

The HRM’s residential Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) Depot will be closed Saturday, November 13th but will be open Saturday, November 20th from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
