Festival of Lights Celebrates Many Cultures

(Thursday, December 9, 2010) Everyone is welcome to celebrate the 2010 Festival of Lights event at the Dartmouth North Community Centre this Saturday, December 11, 2010 from 1 pm to 3:30 pm.

There is fun for the entire family including food, crafts and entertainment. Drop in and learn more about Christmas, Kwanza, Hanukkah, Eid Al-Adha and other cultural celebrations.

The event is hosted by the Halifax Regional School Board’s Community Outreach Program, the Dartmouth Family Centre, the Dartmouth North Public Library, HRM’s Youth Advocate Program and Community Recreation Services, the Muslim Parent Group, the United Way of Halifax Action for Neighbourhood Change and the Farrell Benevolent Society.
