HRM Winter Works Crew Continues to Clear Snow, Prepping for Canada Games

(February 4, 2011) - HRM crews continue with the snow clean-up from the recent storm systems. Efforts include lane widening and the clearing of intersections, bus stops and cul-de-sacs. With another 10 cm of snow expected this Saturday evening and the Canada Games and the traffic they will bring to the region, Winter Works crews are going day and night to ensure safe travelling for drivers and pedestrians.

For the latest updates on the schedule for the schedule of work up to and including February 9, go to: www.halifax.ca/snow/.

Residents are reminded of the overnight parking ban and are asked to ensure vehicles are not left on the street to obstruct further snow removal operations.

In emergency situations, please call 911 and the dispatchers there will contact Municipal Operations if they require immediate plowing.
