Highway#101 Between The Bedford Bypass & Beaverbank Rd. Exit - Road Work

(Monday, February 28, 2011) - Attention motorists, Brycon Construction have been contracted by Halifax Water to construct a service road adjacent to Highway 101 to allow for access and maintenance of the existing Trunk Sewer system.

Construction is scheduled to get underway on or about Tuesday, March 1st. The duration of construction is approximately 4 weeks.

Construction work will take place along a section of the north side of Highway 101 (outbound) between the ramp from the Dartmouth/Bedford Bypass and the Beaverbank exit.

Impact to traffic will consist of the closure of 1 outbound lane in the work zone between the hours of 7am - 3pm. Traffic will be restricted to one lane through this area.

Experienced traffic control personnel will be on-site to ensure smooth traffic flow. On site personnel will also maintain communication with local residents and businesses to help minimize disruption.
Motorists are asked to use alternate routes where possible and to proceed carefully through the work zone. Motorists are also reminded that speed fines double in work zones.

Halifax Water and Brycon Construction apologize for any inconvenience this necessary infrastructure work may cause.
