PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT

UNIVERSAL ACCESSIBILITY STUDY -
PUBLIC CONSULTATION SESSIONS

(Tuesday, March 8, 2011) Halifax, NS - Metro Transit and IBI Group will be conducting four Public Consultation Sessions this week as part of its Universal Accessibility Planning Study.

The meetings are open to all HRM residents who wish to find out more information, or express their comments on Metro Transit’s Universal Accessibility Plan.

Date:       Wednesday, March 9
Time:        from 3:30 pm to 5:00 pm, and; from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm
Location: Saint Andrews Community Centre
                6955 Bayers Rd., Halifax

Date:       Thursday, March 10
Time:        from 3:00 pm to 4:30 pm, and; from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm
Location:  Dartmouth North Community Centre
                105 Highfield Park Dr. Dartmouth

The sessions will consist of a 10-15 minute presentation, followed by a question & answer period.

For registered Access-A-Bus clients wishing to attend, please contact the AAB Scheduling Department at 490-6999.

For those travelling on conventional fixed route transit service, the Saint Andrews Community Centre is serviced by routes #2, #17(ALF), #80, and #81.

The Dartmouth North Community Centre is serviced by ALF routes #16, #52, #53, #66, #72, #87, and non-ALF route # 64.
