Nominations Sought for 2011 Mayor's Book Awards

(Friday, April 8, 2011) - Mayor Peter Kelly and Halifax Regional Council are seeking nominations for the 2011 Mayor’s awards in Literary Achievement and Excellence in Book Illustration.

These awards recognize excellence and the outstanding contribution made to the region’s literary community by a resident of the Halifax Regional Municipality. Both awards will be presented by at the 2011 Atlantic Book Awards.

Nomination forms are available on the HRM website at http://www.halifax.ca/Culture/Opportunities/index.html. Nomination packages will be accepted until noon, Wednesday, May 4, 2011, and can be sent:
