Pull for Parker Street Food & Furniture Bank

Halifax Regional Fire & Emergency participate in Fundraiser by pulling 40,000 lb Fire Truck

(Wednesday April 27, 2011) - Halifax Regional Fire & Emergency and the Parker Street Food and Furniture Bank will participate in the 3rd Annual Pull for Parker Street this Sunday, May 1st from 11 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. at Dartmouth Crossing (across from Moxies Restaurant).

Teams of seven will compete to see who can pull a 40,000 lb fire truck the farthest and/or the fastest on a designated 125-foot course.

Also, new this year, younger kids can participate by pulling our new “mini pumper” fire truck. There will be displays of antique fire trucks, a BBQ, balloons, face painting, and appearances by “Sparky” (fire dog mascot).

Come out to this fun event for the whole family and support a great cause.
