HRM Archives To Host Donor Recognition Event

Tuesday, June 14, 2011 - HRM’s Municipal Archives is hosting a donor recognition event on Thursday, June 16. The ceremony will acknowledge community members who have donated their historical records to the region in recent years, with special honours to the widow of Louis Collins, former civic historian and heritage activist.

HRM Councillor Bob Harvey and Gerald McCarthy, friend of the Collins' family and former minister of education, will speak to the approximate 90 invited guests.

WHERE: HRM Municipal Archives, 81 Ilsley Avenue

WHEN:   Thursday, June 16 at 3 p.m.

Light refreshments will be served.
