Canada Day Solid Waste Collection Services Notice

(Wednesday, June 29, 2011) - Residents of HRM are advised that there will be no curbside collection of garbage, organics or recyclables on Canada Day, Friday, July 1st. Collection services normally scheduled for Friday, Canada Day will be provided the next day, Saturday, July 2nd.

The Otter Lake Facilities and the HRM Recycling Plant will be closed on Canada Day, Friday, July 1st, but will be open regular operating hours on Saturday, July 2nd.

The HRM's residential Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) Depot will be closed Saturday, July 2nd, but will be open on Saturday, July 9th from 9 am to 4 pm.
