PUBLIC GARDENS WILL CLOSE FOR THE SEASON ON DECEMBER 2nd

(October 17, 2011) - The Halifax Public Gardens will close its gates for the 2011 season on Friday, December 2nd. This is in keeping with the practice in recent years of keeping the Gardens open later into the Fall to allow visitors to enjoy the park as long as possible.

The Halifax Public Gardens is one of the finest examples of a Victorian Garden in North America. Officially opened in 1867, the Gardens retain much of their Victorian charm thanks to the hard work and dedication of concerned citizens and The Friends of the Public Gardens.
