Remembrance Day Solid Waste Collection Notice

(Tuesday, November 8, 2011) - HRM would like to remind residents that there will be no regular municipal solid waste collection services provided on Remembrance Day, Friday, Nov. 11, 2011. Curbside collection of garbage, organics or recyclables normally scheduled for Remembrance Day, Friday, Nov. 11 will occur the next day, Saturday, Nov. 12.

The Otter Lake Waste Processing and Disposal Facilities, the two Composting Facilities and the HRM Recycling Plant will be closed on Remembrance Day, Friday, Nov. 11 but will be open on Saturday, Nov. 12 with regular operating hours.

The HRM’s residential Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) Depot will be closed Saturday, Nov. 12 but will be open Saturday, Nov. 19 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
