HRM Introduces Arabic Newcomers Guide

(November 15, 2011) - HRM will introduce the first ever Arabic-language Newcomers Guide on Wednesday, November 16th at 6:30 p.m. at the Keshen Goodman Library.

Who:     Ken Williment, HRM Public Libraries , Asma Bajunaid, Arabic Newcomer and Project Advisor, Mohja Malia, ISIS Employment Services and Dr. Jamal Badawi, Saint Mary's University.

Exhibits by Halifax based artists Qahtan Ibrahim and Saad Othman.

The Newcomers Guide for Arabic newcomers provides an overview of key information for newcomers on settling, working, transportation, recreation opportunities, participation in local government, volunteer organizations, and community and cultural events.
