(Monday, March 12, 2012) – HRM advises residents, business owners and property owners near Eastview Drive in Spryfield that blasting operations required to complete rock excavation for a new residential development in the area will take place beginning on or about March 14, 2012 and last for approximately six weeks. Operations can take place Monday to Friday, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. No blasting will take place on weekends or statutory holidays.
All requirements outlined in HRM’s blasting by-law B-600 have been met in order to have a permit issued for this project. Seismographs will be set up on structures in the area to monitor vibration and sound levels to ensure they do not exceed allowable limits set out in HRM’s blasting by-law.
