Camp teaches police, fire and paramedic skills to young women
Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2013 – Camp Courage, a free police, fire, and paramedic day camp for girls, is now accepting applications for its 2013 program to be held July 7-14.
Camp Courage is a camp that informs and educates young women between the ages of 15 and 19 about non-traditional professions and inspires them to reach their potential.
To be accepted, applicants are requested to write a 500-word essay on one of two topics:
1. How can you improve the life of someone less fortunate? or
2. How can you improve your community?
The camp is free and 24 young women will be selected. Submissions must be completed by March 1, 2013.
