Easter Solid Waste Collection Notice

Tuesday, March 26, 2013 (Halifax, NS) - HRM would like to remind residents that there will be no regular municipal solid waste collection services provided on Good Friday, March 29. Curbside collection of garbage, organics or recyclables normally scheduled for Friday, March 29 will occur the next day, Saturday, March 30.

The Otter Lake waste processing and disposal facility, the two composting facilities and the HRM recycling plant will be closed on Good Friday, March 29 (and Easter Sunday, March 31) but will be open on Saturday, March 30 and Monday, April 1 with regular operating hours.

The HRM’s residential household hazardous waste (HHW) depot will be closed Saturday, March 30 but will be open Saturday, April 6 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
