Icy conditions in tomorrow’s forecast; HRM asking motorists and pedestrians to be cautious

Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2013 – HRM is cautioning motorists and pedestrians about the potential for icy conditions on streets and sidewalks tomorrow. The forecast is calling for ice pellets and rain followed by milder temperatures currently forecasted for Wednesday.

Municipal Operations crews will be aligning resources with in-house and contracted salt and sand units to mitigate potential icing, however, it’s important to be aware of changing conditions, even after salt has been applied.
