HRM Spray Parks Closed due to work on the Pockwock water transmission main

Thursday, July 4, 2103 (Halifax, NS) - HRM will be closing the municipal spray parks at 3:00 p.m. on Friday July 5, and they will remain closed over the weekend, Saturday, July 6 and Sunday, July 7. This is a precautionary measure due to the work being done by Halifax Water on the Pockwock water transmission main this weekend. HRM is assisting in reducing the use of water during the work as Halifax Water has requested. As well, this is a safety precaution should the boil water order be put in place.

The spray parks that will be closed are:
Isleville St Playground
Westmount-Edward Arab Ave
George Dixon Centre
Commons Spray Pad

All HRM outdoor pools will be fully topped up with water and will be open all weekend. Residents are also encouraged to visit local HRM beaches. For more information see: www.halifax.ca/rec/Beaches.html.
