Lane Reductions Joseph Howe Drive at Highway 102

Friday, July 5, 2013 (Halifax, NS) – Saturday July 6 and Sunday, July 7, there will be lane reductions in effect during daylight hours along Joseph Howe Drive at Highway 102.

As part of the on-going work on the Hwy 102 structures by the Province and their contractor, some concrete walls on the bridge over Joseph Howe Drive will be removed this weekend. The lanes immediately under the sections of wall being removed will be closed to traffic and pedestrians, as a precautionary measure against the potential for falling debris.

Motorists should expect delays and are encouraged to use alternate routes. Pedestrians may encounter closed sidewalks and should follow all posted signage around the site. Multi-Use trail users may encounter trail closures; cyclists may have to use on-street facilities, and other users should use the appropriate sidewalks.

HRM apologizes in advance for any inconvenience these delays may cause.
