Road Closure-Kearney Lake Road

Tuesday, November 12, 2013 - Attention motorists, beginning at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, November 13, 2013, Kearney Lake Rd. will be closed from Blue Mountain Rd. to Bluewater Rd. with local traffic only from Hammonds Plains Rd. to Blue Mountain Rd. The road closure is scheduled to remain in effect until 9 p.m., Friday, November 15, 2013.

This work, being undertaken by Dexter Construction on behalf of Halifax Water, is to allow for the disconnection of the temporary watermain as part of the Pockwock Water Transmission Main Project.

With completion of the above noted work, it is anticipated that the current 24 hour lane drop will come to an end by the end of November, with a daytime lane drop remaining in effect until project completion in mid-December.

Motorists are asked to use alternate routes. Motorists are also reminded that speed fines double in work zones.

Experienced traffic control personnel will be on-site to assist with traffic flow. On site personnel will also maintain communication with local residents and businesses to help minimize disruption.

Halifax Water apologizes for any inconvenience this necessary infrastructure improvement work may cause.
