Upper Water Street will be reduced to one lane due to natural gas pipeline installation

Friday, April 19, 2013 - Beginning Monday, April 22, the natural gas main on Upper Water Street will be extended by approximately 50 meters north of Duke Street.

The pipe installation and subsequent re-paving is expected to take approximately a week and a half. The work hours will be between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m., Monday to Friday. During construction, Upper Water Street will be reduced to one lane. After 4 p.m., two lanes will be open to traffic.

Heritage Gas and HRM apologizes in advance for any inconvenience these delays may cause.
