Victoria Day solid waste collection and processing services

Wednesday, May 15, 2013 (Halifax, NS) - Residents of Halifax Regional Municipality are reminded that regular municipal collection services will be provided on Victoria Day, Monday, May 20, 2013. Collection of garbage, organics or recyclables normally scheduled on Victoria Day, Monday, May 20 will occur as usual.

Residents are reminded that collection services can begin at 7 a.m. To ensure collection is not missed, residents may place materials curbside the evening prior to collection day.

The Otter Lake Waste Processing and Disposal Facilities, the two Composting Facilities and the HRM Recycling Plant at 20 Horseshoe Lake Drive will be open on Victoria Day, Monday, May 20 with normal operating hours.

The Halifax Regional Municipality’s residential Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) Depot will be open Saturday, May 18 and Saturday, May 25 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
