Free transit for veterans and military personnel on Remembrance Day

Thursday, Nov. 6, 2014 (Halifax, NS) - Metro Transit wishes to thank those who serve our country by offering free transit service to all veterans and military personnel, and accompanying family members, on Remembrance Day, Nov. 11.

Veterans or military personnel wishing to use the free transit service are simply asked to be in uniform or display their military identification upon boarding.

This offer extends to Metro Transit bus (conventional and MetroX) and harbour ferry services. This offer is also available for registered Access-A-Bus users.

Metro Transit will be operating on holiday schedules on Remembrance Day; please check individual bus and ferry route schedules for more details at www.halifax.ca/transit/Schedules/index.php.
