Hammonds Plains Road Culvert Renewal

Friday, June 20, 2014 (Halifax, NS) – Beginning on or about Monday, June 23, Halifax Water will be undertaking culvert work on the Hammonds Plains Road near the Hammonds Plains Consolidated Elementary School. This culvert work is being done in conjunction with the municipality's Hammonds Plains Road sidewalk and road widening project.

The duration of construction is approximately one day. One lane, two way stop and go traffic will be in place on Hammonds Plains Road.

Hours of work will be 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Experienced traffic control personnel will be on-site to maintain communication with local residents and businesses, and help minimize disruption.

Motorists are asked to use alternate routes. Motorists are also reminded that speed fines double in work zones.
