Natural Gas Pipeline Installation - Joseph Howe Drive

Friday, June 6, 2014 (Halifax, NS) – The Halifax Regional Municipality is advising residents that work will begin on Monday, June 9, to extend the natural gas main on Joseph Howe Drive between Mumford Road and Abbott Drive.

The pipe installation and subsequent restoration work is expected to take approximately two weeks. One lane of traffic in each direction is expected to be maintained at all times. Work crews will shut down daily between 7 a.m. and 9 a.m., and 4 p.m. and 6 p.m.

Motorists should expect delays and are asked to use alternative routes whenever possible.

Heritage Gas and the municipality apologize in advance for any inconvenience this work may cause.
