Registration for Second Round of Free Swimming Lessons

Monday, July 7, 2014 (Halifax, NS) – Registration for the next two sessions of free swimming lessons, Bronze Medallion, Bronze Cross and junior lifeguard programs in the Halifax region opens at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, July 9.

These free classes are available at all municipal beaches and the Halifax Common outdoor pool. Participants are required to register and registration will continue until the classes are filled.

To sign up, residents can call 490-6666. They can also visit any municipally operated community recreation centre in the Halifax region or go online at the Community & Recreation Services “Rec Connect” page. Simply visit www.halifax.ca/rec/ProgramsandActivities.php and click on “Beach” to sign up.
