Road Closure - Queen Street

Thursday, Sept. 4, 2014 (Halifax, NS) – The Halifax Regional Municipality is advising residents that another block of Queen Street in Halifax will be temporarily closed to traffic on Friday, Sept. 5, to facilitate the installation of water and sewer pipes in the area.

Starting at 7 a.m. on Friday, Queen Street will be shut down between Fenwick Street and Kent Street.

The sidewalk will remain open for pedestrians and crews will accommodate local traffic and access to the Sobeys on Queen Street during the closure. Motorists should expect some delays and are strongly advised to use alternative routes, if possible. The street is expected to reopen at about 6 p.m. on Friday.

The municipality apologizes in advance for any inconvenience this closure or the installation work may cause.
