Road Closures - Halifax Pride Parade
Wednesday, July 23, 2014 (Halifax, NS) – The Halifax Regional Municipality is advising residents that a number of downtown Halifax streets will be temporarily closed to traffic and parking on Saturday, July 26, for the Halifax Pride parade.
Streets directly on the parade route will shut down starting at 1:30 p.m. The parade begins at the Halifax Dockyard at 2 p.m. It will move along Barrington Street, turning right onto Spring Garden Road, right onto South Park Street, continuing onto Bell Road and finally turning right onto Ahern Street.
There will be no parking anywhere along the parade route. All of the affected streets will re-open by 3:30 p.m. on Saturday.
The Pride parade is an annual tradition, drawing thousands of people from across the Halifax region and the province. For more information on the parade or other events featured in the 27th annual Halifax Pride Festival, visit halifaxpride.com.
