Natural Gas Pipeline Installation – Bedford Highway

Friday, Sept. 12, 2014 (Halifax, NS) – Extensive natural gas pipeline installation work will begin Monday along the Bedford Highway from Hammonds Plains Road to Convoy Run.

The work is expected to last approximately four weeks but will not interfere with morning or afternoon rush-hour traffic (7 a.m. to 9 a.m., or 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.).

Motorists can expect one lane of traffic in either direction while the work is underway. Drivers should expect delays and are asked to use alternative routes whenever possible.

It should be noted bike lanes will be closed during construction and drivers are asked to use extra caution as they share the road with cyclists.

The municipality and Heritage Gas apologize in advance for any inconvenience this work may cause.
