Road Construction – Hammonds Plains Road
Tuesday, May 20, 2014 (Halifax, NS) – Starting today (Tuesday), crews will be working throughout the summer on the widening of Hammonds Plains Road between Lucasville Road and Pockwock Road.
This work will include the paving of gravel shoulders to widen the existing travel way, profile correction, planer patching, micro-surfacing, drainage improvements, guiderail installation, and all the associated work needed to bring the road back to appropriate standards.
All of the road work is expected to be finished by Aug. 29.
During this work there will be lane drops as well as stop-and-go traffic. Motorists should expect delays and are asked to find alternative routes whenever possible.
