Sidewalk Repairs - Downtown Halifax

Friday, July 18, 2014 (Halifax, NS) – The Halifax Regional Municipality is advising residents that crews will be doing sidewalk replacement and repairs on a number of downtown Halifax streets tonight and into next week.

Crews will be working at the following locations:

• Gottingen Street between Cunard and North Streets, tonight from 6:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m. and again next week beginning Monday from 7:00 a.m. until 12:00 a.m.
• Public Gardens main entrance on Spring Garden Road, next week beginning Monday from 6:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m.
• Cogswell Street between Brunswick and Gottingen Streets, next week beginning Monday from 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.
• Upper Water Street from Casino Nova Scotia to Barrington Street, next week beginning Monday from 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.

Motorists should be aware that street parking will be limited at these locations when crews are doing their work.

This work is part of larger efforts to improve the sidewalks in downtown Halifax and will continue for several weeks over the summer. The municipality apologizes in advance for any inconvenience this work may cause.
