Council may rise and go into a private In Camera session, in accordance with Section 19 of the Halifax Regional Municipality Charter, for the purpose of dealing with the following;

Motion:
That the In Camera minutes November 26, 2013 be approved as circulated.

13.2 Personnel Matter
Citizen and Councillor appointments to boards and committees in keeping with the Public Appointment Policy adopted by Regional Council in August 2011, to be found at http://www.halifax.ca/boardscom/documents/Citizenrecruitmentpolicy.pdf

13.2.1 Councillor & Citizen Appointments to Boards and Committees – Private and Confidential Report
Motion:
It is recommended that Halifax Regional Council:

1. Adopt the recommendations of the Standing Committees regarding the Citizen Appointments as outlined in Attachment 1 of this report.

2. Appoint Councillor Hendsbee to the Special Events Advisory Committee for a term to November, 2014.

3. Appoint Councillors Nicoll and McCluskey to the Greater Halifax Partnership for a term to December, 2015.

4. It is further recommended that the list of Citizen appointments be released to the public following Council ratification.

A matter pertaining to providing instruction and direction to officers and employees of the Municipality pertaining to the acquisition / sale of land in regard to

13.3.1 Parkland Interest - Fall River – Private and Confidential Report
Motion:
That Halifax Regional Council not seek to acquire the subject property for the purposes of parkland for reasons outlined in the Private and Confidential report dated November 14, 2013

13.3.2 Fall River Lakefront Property – Private and Confidential Report
Motion:
That Halifax Regional Council not explore the possibility of trade and/or acquisition of the subject property for reasons outlined in the Private and Confidential report dated November 14, 2013
